What is Cyberpunk 2077?

Cyberpunk 2077 is an upcoming role-playing game developed by CD Projekt RED, based on the popular tabletop RPG Cyberpunk 2020. Set in a dystopian future, the game will focus on an open world exploration, with a character-focused narrative and interactive gameplay. The player character, V, is looking to gain street credibility and further their own personal agenda in the criminal-infested megalopolis of Night City.

Implants: Overview

Cyberpunk 2077 features an in-depth implants system, this allows the character to install physical modifications in their bodies. Implants are divided into four categories: Combat, Networking, Professional and Sensory. Each category offers unique upgrades to improve on V’s abilities and stats. These upgrades include cybernetic enhancements, such as improved strength, speed, stamina, as well as other abilities, such as hacking capabilities and vision enhancements.

Combat Implants

The Combat category offers a variety of upgrades that focus on improved combat capabilities. These include:

• Damage Reduction: implants that reduce the amount of damage dealt by enemies.
• Balance Restoration: implants that reduce the knockdown effects caused by enemies attacks.
• Melee Boost: implants that increase melee damage.
• Weapon Boost: implants that increase damage from weapons.

Networking Implants

The Networking category offers upgrades that focus on improved social interaction and access to restricted areas. These include:

• Social Skills Boost: implants that increase V’s social skill effectiveness when speaking to non-player-characters.
