It seems like Ethereum, the second biggest cryptocurrency after Bitcoin, is unstoppable at the moment. As the price of ETH surged to a two-month high, its usage on the Ethereum network has skyrocketed as well. Here are some of the craziest things Ethereum users are doing atm:

- Buying islands – We’re not joking, Ethereum users are actually buying entire islands! Of course, no one knows who or why as the purchases are made through anonymous wallets, but one thing is certain – it’s an incredibly high-end usage of Ethereum!
- Making it rain – It’s not just some figurative rain – we’re talking literal money raining down from the sky! People are sending ETH to addresses of random bystanders on the street with some humorous messages in the wallet descriptions that make it even funnier. Two thumbs up!
- Coffee buying spree – Alright, coffee isn’t as expensive as islands and it doesn’t fall from the sky, but Ethereum users are buying hundreds of cups of coffee for complete strangers at local coffee shops. Eth-tweeters are geotagging those coffee places too, letting everyone know how awesome those ETH-spenders are!
But the most impressed users of Ethereum no doubt are the developers and engineers – ETH’s rise to two-month highs meant that a lot of their projects got funded and many of them were able to realize their ambitious ideas without any major issues. Kudos to them!
The Ethereum network is still in its early stages but with the current trend and growth rate, the sky’s the limit!
