Terraform Labs Co-Founder Do Kwon Arrested for Vacay Shenanigans in Montenegro

When you think of Montenegro, you think of clear blue waters and historical architecture, you don’t usually think of shenanigans. That was – until now. Terraform Labs Co-Founder Do Kwon has been arrested and fellow co-founders feel they have been set back at least a couple of years by his shenanigans.

The ‘Crime’

What was the crime? It’s believed Do was seen participating in an activity that is strictly prohibited in Montenegro – exchanging money on the beach. A Montenegro Interior Minister said Do was exchanging American dollars for Montenegro coins which is illegal in their country.

Terraform Labs Set Back

Do’s fellow co-founders of Terraform Lab have been forced to now reorganize due to his naughty behavior. They have had to put together a roster of people to take over his partially completed role and get back on track with their HoloLens development.

Being Silly

We can’t completely blame Do as he was just being silly and trying to have a little fun. But a word of warning to all tech entrepreneurs and adventurers – please do your homework before travelling overseas and make sure you know what the local laws are.

Here are a few tips to follow when travelling abroad:

  • Research, research, research – Spend some time researching the country you are visiting, look up any laws you should know about. The last thing you want is to break the laws of your destination.

  • Learn a Little Bit – Pick up a few words from the local language, this will help you make the most of the trip and show the locals that you care.

  • Have Fun – Of course you want to enjoy yourself, but make sure you’re not breaking the law in the process!
